How the suggestion is worked out
Each answer gives points to the rivers that match it: the Semois for calm water and first trips, the Lesse for a few rapids and train access, the Amblève for whitewater. Some answers rule a river out: coming by train excludes the Semois, which has no station nearby; a child under 6 excludes the Amblève’s whitewater; as far as we know, dogs are only welcome on the Semois.
Your experience, fitness, wishes and available time then set the intensity you are after, from a short, gentle trip to a full day. On the winning river, the quiz picks the trip closest to that intensity, then shows the best option on each of the other rivers.
The result shows whether the river is open right now; if it is closed, you can ask for an email alert to know when it reopens. Your answers stay in your browser: nothing is sent to or stored on our servers.
